Nainital Ropeway _Nainital Cable CarNainital Ropeway is a popular tourist attraction, under the authority of the Kumaon Mandal Vikas Nigam (KMVN). This is the first cable car (aerial ropeway) installed in India. It covers a total distance of 705 m, gaining a height of 300 m. Each cable car has a maximum capacity of 825 kg (12 persons)

Nainital Cable Car is one of the major attractions of Nainital which draws in hundreds of visitors each day who wants to appreciate the mesmerizing views of Naini Lake and entire Nainital Hill station. The aerial ropeway starts at Mallital and connects to Snow view point of Nainital. There are only two trolleys to carry passengers. It takes less than 3 minutes to reach snow view point by Nainital Ropeway. Ropeway opening – closing Timings generally is from 10 AM to 4 PM.

The Rope Way is made with state of the Art Swiss Collaboration and has got a very steep ascend and descend. It offers a panoramic view of the lake while ascending and a bird eye view of the flats while descending. Current charges are (Adult) Rs 150/- Per Person & (Children 3-12 Yr) Rs 100/- Per Person. Exploration time is 2 hour.


How To Reach Ropeway/Cable Car :-

Ropeway station is 42 KM from Haldwani and 2 KM from Nainital Bus Station. One can reach Aerial Ropeway by walking around 200 mtr. on foot from Mall Road at Mallital.
